Just Stay

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside.
"Your son is here," she said to the old man.
She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened.

Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw
the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent.

He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his
toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a
message of love and encouragement.

The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the
bed. All through the night the young Marine sat there in the
poorly lighted ward, holding the old man's hand and offering
him words of love and strength. Occasionally, the nurse
suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile.

He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine
was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital
- the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night
staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of
the other patients.

Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words.

The dying man said nothing, only held
tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now
lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse.

While she did what she had to do, he waited.

Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her.

"Who was that man?" he asked.

The nurse was startled, "He was your father," she answered.

"No, he wasn't," the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life."

"Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?"

"I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here.

When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed."

I came here tonight to find a Mr. William Grey.

His son was Killed in Iraq today, and I was sent to inform him.

What was this Gentleman's Name?

The Nurse with Tears in Her Eyes Answered, Mr. William Grey.............

The next time someone needs you ... just be there. Stay.

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar.. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else --The small stuff.
'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.
So...
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'
Please share this with other "Golf Balls"
I just did......

Forgiveness of Self and Others by EFT Coach Dorothy Biagioni

Forgiveness of Self and Other with Emotional Freedom Technique

If you asked yourself right now - whom do I need to forgive? Anyone in my life, past or present? Perhaps an issue or an event?

What about myself?

Ask yourself: "Have I judged others or myself harshly?"

"What am I holding in my Heart and in my Head right now?"

Perhaps the incident has happened so far in the past that you believe it is gone and doesn't matter anymore? Believe me, it does matter. If it is in the past, then it is buried in your Heart and in your Sub conscious. Just because it isn't at the top layer does not mean it isn't there. Carrying guilt is an insidious enemy.

Often we have a mistaken belief that if we forgive someone, or ourselves, we are giving permission for the pattern to occur again.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

By forgiving anyone, including and most importantly yourself, you are releasing emotional and mental poisons, toxins. These poisons, toxins, stresses can manifest themselves into very real chronic physical, emotional, mental and spiritual illnesses.

By the very act of Forgiveness you have given yourself permission to grow and receive freedom.

Perhaps you believe you do not deserve forgiveness for something you have said or done in the past?

Let me ask you "How is it working for you so far?" I would suspect that by the very act of not forgiving, you have either remained stagnant or gone backwards in your personal growth.

EVERYONE deserves to be forgiven.

That is not to say that you are giving your permission to be hurt, let down, abused in anyway again, either by others or by yourself.

Forgiveness means you are releasing emotional toxins and poisons from your Heart, Mind and Body.

Forgiveness means you are tired of hurting and want to be free.

Emotional Freedom Technique - EFT is one of the best Releasing and Healing Modalities that I know of.

EFT will show you how to learn to give yourself permission to forgive, then onto the next step of the actual Forgiveness.

Imagine the freedom of not carrying that heavy load of pain, anger, resentments, bitterness, negativity that's been in your Heart and Mind for so long. Imagine being free of all the negative self chatter - I'm not good enough, I don't deserve, Everyone else deserves, Things never work out for me etc etc

Imagine being Free.

What do you have to lose? Guilt, Judgment of Self and Others, Pain, Negativity, Bitterness, Resentment, the list keeps ongoing.

What do you have to gain? Life.
